The internet’s biggest chat app is introducing new ways to extract cash from the people who use it. Discord is expanding server subscriptions, a Patreon-like subscription button that’s been available to large servers since 2022, with tiered subscriptions and longer-term plans to effectively turn servers into storefronts.

Until yesterday, I had assumed that a second season was guaranteed—especially given the enticing finale of the first season—but actually, it had not: a report in The Wrap published on April 15 revealed that Prime Video had yet to purchase a second season.

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot says the publisher is looking to release new Assassin’s Creed games “more regularly” in the future, and remakes of older games will be among them.

Ubisoft has famously struggled with remakes. The Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake (which is no longer officially dubbed a remake) has been floating in limbo for four years and still doesn’t seem to be anywhere near completion. The Splinter Cell remake, meanwhile, has seen even less daylight.
